Tankersley Parish Council – Vacancy for Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

Tankerlsey Parish Council is an active Council that seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to take on the post of Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer.
The post is part time, 35 hours per month. Much of the work will be undertaken from home but attendance is required at monthly meetings held on the third Monday of each month and other meetings as required.
The salary for the role is in accordance with National Joint Council recommendations dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Ideally the candidate will be IT literate, able to use the Microsoft Office suite and other systems as required. Computer equipment will be provided.
Duties will include acting as advisor to the council which involves learning the relevant parish legislation, preparation of the meeting agendas, minute taking, compilation of correspondence, filing and accounts in addition to being the Responsible Financial Officer to the council.
The successful applicant will ideally hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) or be willing to work towards obtaining the qualification.
