On the 28th August, the planning application in relation to the proposed units on Wentworth Industrial Estate, was put for the consideration of the Barnsley Council planning regulatory board. Prior to the meeting, Tankersley Parish Council had submitted an objection on behalf of the Parish;
At the meeting, Councillor Garforth of Tankersley Parish Council, spoke in objection of the application and put forward a thorough argument, highlighting key concerns of residents and the Parish Council. Councillor Garforth’s objection can be found here;
Unfortunately, the application was approved, however the planning board enforced tight restrictions regarding noise levels. The conditions of the approval, which have been produced by BMBC can be found here;
The Parish Council will continue to communicate with BMBC regarding this development, to ensure that the noise from site remains at acceptable levels.
