Some time ago Tankersley Parish council asked the public for letters of support for the footpath that runs between the village and the industrial estate.  We had over 20 letters sent which was a great response.  Since that date, the industrial unit build has caused more mud to fall onto the path, and it has become quite impassible at times.  We have had reports that a mother and baby got stuck with the mud clogging up the wheels on the buggy, and a lady has slipped on the mud and injured herself.

However BMBC has listened, and a new tarmac surface is to replace the path, before the end of the year.
