The Hall has been able to replace the aging cooker and water geyser, a new tall fridge and freezer have been bought along with a microwave. A Computer and printer have also been bought to help with the administration of the Hall. A new programmable controller for the heating has also been fitted to reduce the cost of heating the hall. The Welfare Hall is also grateful to Community Support Funding and Penistone Area Partnership for its grant of £500 which has been used to buy new folding tables and chairs for the main hall. Tankersley Parish Council also contributed £600 towards the cost of a new food preparation area and repairs to the outside of the Community Hall

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust, the national charity dedicated to changing the lives of people in coalfield communities in the UK, have awarded Tankersley Welfare Hall £5000 which has been used to upgrade and refurbish the kitchen area.
